Primary Function:

The Account Manager | Customer Success (AM|CS) is responsible for the relationship between the agency and clients. S/he will plan the clients’ short and long-term marketing strategies, as well as take responsibility for “bottom-line” accountability. The AM|CS will be the key, day-to-day agency representative to the client and will maintain a highly responsive service orientation in all relationships. They must be knowledgeable in both the client’s business and the agency business. The position requires the ability to earn the confidence of, and develop a strong working rapport with, client contacts and internal agency teams.

The AM|CS will provide strategic planning and direction on assigned account(s) and develop/present appropriate POVs to the client(s) as required to keep agency top-of- mind to client(s).

The AM|CS ensures that strategies are clearly defined, approved by clients and are understood by the creative, digital and strategy teams. The AM|CS works to grow account revenue from any available sources. He/she continuously works to upgrade knowledge and skills through available reading, courses and seminars. This position is paying between $65,000-$85,000 and can be based in our Denver office/Remote.

Specific Duties:

  • Maintains direct, day-to-day senior level client contact.
  • Maintains relationships with senior client executives
  • Works in an ongoing manner to better understand the client’s business and industry, keeping apprised of all relevant client and market developments.
  • Responsible for directing agency activities to ensure proper agency service.
  • Provides team members with well-documented input, support data and materials as required.
  • Effectively presents and sells research, data/measurement and communications plans to clients.
  • Keep meticulous tracking of forecasting, budgets and billing across clients and campaigns, effectively stewards the agency resources against client contracts, and provides clients and internal finance staff with regular budget updates.
  • Coordinates and authorizes quotations for client approval.
  • Liaisons with consumer/business insight and industry research personnel and supports qualitative and quantitative research assignments.
  • Supports the agency process and effectively uses agency systems for all communication, document management and financial oversight.
  • Manages and prepares quarterly and/or monthly business reviews, overviews of client’s current activities, and monthly revenue forecasts, plus plans for future development of accounts.
  • Seeks out new business opportunities with new and existing clients and plays a supportive role in their development.
  • Participates in Agency/Client Performance reviews and road mapping.

Experience and Education:

  • Five to Seven years plus experience required.
  • Digital campaign oversight a must.
  •  At least two years of supervisory experience.

The email marketing specialist collaborates with Strategy, Content, Design, and Development teams. Individual responsibilities include:

  • Support email campaigns by developing content marketing strategies, technical recommendations, and list management
  • Drive client strategy and campaign planning by analysing performance and KPIs
  • Install best practices for list management and deliverability
  • Analyse data and metrics for individual campaigns
  • Provide recommendations for new and existing campaigns including triggers, and automation
  • Build creative, messaging, and content for campaigns using email and automated marketing
  • Create A/B tests for campaign optimisation on many devices and platforms
  • Analyse client email list health and segmentation strategy
  • Segment audiences based on predefined attributes and demographic data
  • Measure results and optimise lead nurturing workflows
  • Assist and give recommendations on deliverability issues
  • delegate tasks to staff as needed
  • Communicate with the account management team and clients
  • Provide solutions to email marketing questions and concerns
  • Learn other marketing tasks like lead generation, product management, social media, and analytics
  • Implement and manage directly in automation platform

Qualifications:

The right candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or business. Other qualifications are:

  • 3+ years of marketing experience including email-marketing, deliverability, testing, and automation
  • Knowledge of creative processes and social media marketing
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills for responsive email design
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with high-level email deployment platforms
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and under deadline pressure
  • Manage many campaigns at once including different segmented messages
  • Data-driven thinking to analyse data through A/B testing and email optimisation
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Must know the law to ensure no rules are being broken on behalf of our clients

Desired Qualities:

A solid background in mid to senior marketing positions and/or demonstrated superior performance as an Account Management and Customer Success. Advanced verbal and written skills, analytical thinking, personal organization and interpersonal dynamics. A clear understanding of the business of advertising and a keen sense of entrepreneurship is essential.
